Mary F. Bruce – Franklin
Mary F. Bruce, 85, of Franklin, passed away at 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 11, 2013 at Franklin United Methodist Community.
Born December 10, 1926 in Mitchell, she was the daughter of Ralph and Blanche (Doan) Williams. She married Wendell Bruce on January 17, 1946 and he preceded her in death on June 6, 2000. She attended Southland Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son Steven Bruce, of Montana; two daughters, Linda Baugh, of Greenwood and Debra and husband Clyde Joyce, of Key West, Florida; two grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Cresthaven Cemetery, with Bud Smith officiating.

Mary L. Kinder – Indianapolis
Mary L. Kinder, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Hamilton Trace in Fishers.
Born May 31, 1924 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Delone and Ruth (Fish) Menaugh. She graduated from Shawswick High School with the class of 1942. She was a bookkeeper for the Hitchcock Insurance Agency in Bedford. She moved from Bedford to Indianapolis in 1970, where she worked at the National Headquarters of the Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity, retiring in 1989. She then worked for the Justus corporation (Crestwood North) retiring in 2001. She was a member of the Union Chapel Methodist Church in Indianapolis and was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Bedford.
Survivors include three daughters, Karen and husband Don Henrich, of Laporte, Stephanie and husband John Purcell, of Orange Park, Florida, Dona and husband Jim Thomas, of Carmel; seven grandchildren, Don Henrich, John Henrich, Michelle Sado, John Purcell, Jennifer Bojrab, Jamie Hudson and Jimmy Thomas; seventeen great grandchildren, one sister, Judy and husband Phillip Blackwell, of Bedford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Carl Fry; one sister, Phyllis McAfee and one brother, Louis Menaugh.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 17 in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 16 at Day & Carter Mortuary.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Foundation.

James Joseph Blendowski – Bedford
James Joseph Blendowski, 52, of Bedford,passed away at 8:40 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2012, at IU Health Bedford Hospital.
Born November 9, 1959, in Bedford, he was the son of Joseph J. and Jean L. (Evans) Blendowski.
He retired from Visteon and was a 1978 graduate of Bedford-North Lawrence High School. He was a member of Sons of the American Legion Post No. 250, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107, and Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 654.
Survivors include his sons, Mark Anthony Blendowski, of Bedford and Joseph James Blendowski, of Bedford; daughter, Jalynn Dawn Blackwell, of Mitchell; mother, Jean Blendowski, of Bedford; grandson, Vander Blendowski, of Bedford; sister, Martha Arnold and husband, Bill, of Mitchell; brothers, Vince Blendowski and wife, Judy, of Orange Park, Florida and John Blendowski and wife, Debbie, of Washington; nieces and nephews, Jennifer McNeely, of Mitchell, Michelle and Cody Roush, of Shoals, Jennie and Thomas Jackson, of Jacksonville, Florida and Tracey and Kevin Boque, of Chicago, Tara and Cory Leatherman, of Mitchell, Brian and Jen Burkhart, of Indianapolis, Brandi and Tony Goodreau, of California; great nieces and nephews, Madison and Gabriela McNeely, Kaley, Collin, and Ellie Roush, Jasmine, Justin, and Jordan Jackson, Olivia Varvel and Jacob Stroud, Luke and Ashley Burkhart, Max and Sadie Goodreau
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at Chastain Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Burial will be at a later date in Green Hill Cemetery.

Rita Marie Chastian – Mitchell
Rita Marie Chastain, 57, of Mitchell, passed away at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2012, at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford.
Born January 14, 1955, in Bedford, she was the daughter of William H. “Bud” and Dorothy (Cummings) Chastain.
She was employed as custodian at Mitchell Community Schools for 12 years. Rita was a self employed dog groomer for more than thirty years at Scissors and Suds. A 1973 graduate of Mitchell High School, she enjoyed softball, track, and basketball.
Survivors include her sisters, Pamela Sue Moore, of Mitchell and Cindy Garceau, of Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Jamie Ramey.
A private family service was conducted Tuesday afternoon at Mitchell Cemetery. A celebration of life service will be at later date.
