Frances I. Hornocker – Bedford
Frances I Hornocker, 88, of Bedford, died at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Stonebridge Health Campus.
Born February 20, 1923 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Noah Noble and Maude (McMuillen) Mitchell. She was an ordinance worker for Crane, worked at Sarkes Tarzain, RCA and a clerk at Hooks Drug Store. She volunteered at IU Health Bedford Hospital for many years and was a member at First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Debra Coffman and her husband Walter, of Bedford and Sue Fuhrman and her husband Ron, of Santa Claus; three grandchildren, Bruce Fuhrman and wife Penelope, of Rockvale, TN., Jennifer Hack and her husband Brad, of Louisville, KY., Jeremy Coffman, of Bedford; three great grandchildren and one niece, Martha Lou Cummings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one half-brother, Loren Mitchell and one niece, Marilyn Inman.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2011 from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Dr. Kregg Burris officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, December 9th at the mortuary.
