Georgia “Teenie Fancher – Mitchell
Georgia “Teenie” Fancher, 86, formerly of Mitchell, passed away at 9:00 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2011, at the home of her daughter.
Born July 1, 1925, in Orange County, she was the daughter of Otto and Sophie
(Andrews) Mickler. She married Albert Alger Fancher May 31, 1964, and he preceded
her in death December 18, 1979.
She had been employed as a waitress at Chase Inn and was also a nurse’s aide.
Surviving: daughters, Carolyn “Susie” Bigelow and husband, John C. Bigleow, of Hephzibah, Georgia Melanie Ann Sullivan and husband, Billy D. Sullivan, Jr., of Petersburg; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lawrenceport Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from noon until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Debra R. Kearby – Shoals
Debra R. Kearby, 49, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 11:56 a.m. at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper.
Debra was born December 26, 1961, in Daviess County, Indiana to Deb Vowell and Marge Meadows. She married Ronald Kearby on April 16, 1994 at the Hickory Ridge Church in Shoals.
Debra graduated from Shoals High School in 1980 and Vincennes University Jasper Campus. She was employed by Chastain’s Flowers, Video Magic, Faytastic Pizza and was a substitute teacher and attended Powell Valley Church.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald, of Shoals; two daughters, Jessica Kearby, of Bloomfield, Kacia Cunningham, of Winslow; son Dustin Kearby, of Jasper; four grandchildren, Ivory, Izik and Izayah Jackson and Jazlyn Kearby; three sisters, Judy Shannon, of Sunbright, TN., Sharon Hembree, of Shoals, Michelle Carrico, of Odon, two brothers, Gary Taylor, of Glendale, AZ.; and John Vowell, of Linton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Tony Taylor.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service today at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals. Service will be 2 p.m. today at the funeral home with burial following at Spring Hill Cemetery.
