Lucille Gibson – Bedford
Lucille Gibson, 97, of Bedford passes away at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, Friday, September 23, 2011.
She was born February 18, 1914 in Grayson County, Kentucky to William Volly and Annie Elizabeth (Key) Duvall.
She was the wife of the late Aruthur Vincent of Edmondson County, Kentucky and Elmer Revere Gibson who resided in Bedford, Indiana until his death in March of 1997.
She had worked at NWSC, Crane, Indiana and the Dianna Shop, in Bedford, Indiana. She was a member of Englewood Baptist Church in Bedford.
Lucille was one of eight children, all of which have preceded her in death.
Lucille is survived by one son, Bobby Vincent of Seward, Alaska; one daughter Breanda Vincent Cantrell of Marietta, Georgia; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and one great great grand daughter, Sierra Kenney of Edmondson County, Kentucky.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2011 at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home in Bedford, Indiana, with pastor David Ferry officiating. Burial will follow at Owensburg Cemetery, in Owensburg, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home.

Kenneth “Kenny” E. Hawkins – Bedford

Kenneth “Kenny” E. Hawkins, 59, of Bedford, died Thursday, September 22, 2011 at IU Bedford Medical Center.
Born April 9, 1952 in Bedford, he is the son of Richard “Jack” and Mary (Starrett) Hawkins. He married Karen Roberts on October 15, 1978 and she survives. He was a stone cutter at Indiana Limestone Company and had worked at RCA for 25 years. He was a member of the Laborers Local #741 and of the Christian faith.
Survivors include his wife, Karen, of Bedford; a daughter, Shannon Jo Rose, and husband Jeffrey, of Bedford; a granddaughter, Elissa Rose; a grandson, Logan hawkins; two brothers, Harold Hawkins and wife, Rosetta, of Bedford and Kenneth Robert Hawkins and wife, Jean, of Ohio; a sister, Joyce Totten and husband, Charles, of North Vernon.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 26, 2011 in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with pastor Lindy Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Day & Carter Mortuary.
