Mona Gayle Quillen – Bedford
Mona Gayle Quillen, 54, of Bedford, died Monday, September 12, 2001, at 9:17 p.m. at Kindred Hospital in Indianapolis.
Mona was born August 13, 1957, in Bedford, Indian. She is the daughter of Gerald “Jerry” and Wilma (Louden) Tincher. She graduated from Bedford North Lawrence High School in 1975. She was a member of Apostolic Faith Assembly.
Mona was employed at WalMart, KMart, M. Fine&Sons and Dana Corp.
Surviving are her mother Wilma Tincher, of Bedford; one daughter Jessica Quillen, of Bedford; one grandson Cameron Quillen, of Bedford; three nephews, Nicholas, Joseph and Derek Meadows, all of Bedford; one brother-in-law Phil Meadows, of Bedford; and several cousins.
Mona was preceded in death by her father; sister Tina Meadows; several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 17, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home in Bedford, with Reverend Kenneth Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery
Friends and family can call Friday, September 16, 2001 from 4 p.m. till 8 p.m. and Saturday, September 17, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home.

Jessie M. Collier – Bedford

Jessie M. Collier, the 16th and last remaining child of James David and Laura Evelyn (Hughes) Collier, passed away Monday, September 12, 2011, at 5:50 p.m.at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. Jessie was 81-years-old and a resident of Bedford.
Jessie was born September 20, 1929 in Leesville, Indiana. She spent her entire life giving loving care to her family. Jessie liked to hear old-time gospel songs and attended Southland Church of Christ.
Jessie is survived by nieces, Shirley Diane (Daniel) Beyers of Bedford, Sylvia (Bill) Greenfields of Columbus, and nephews, David Charles (Rebecca) Crane of Cloverdale and Kenneth (Judy) Fisher of Bedford. Jessie lovingly helped to raise Shirley and David. Many great and great-great nieces and nephews also survive.
Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, 15 brothers and sisters, one niece and four nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, with Bud Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Dixon Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Lola B. (White) Norman- Bedford
Lola B. (White) Norman, 91, of Bedford passed away at 3:23 a.m. on Monday, September 12, 2001 at Johnson’s Christian Village.
Born June 21, 1920 in Heltonville, Indiana, she was the daughter of Walter and Sarah (Fleetwood) White. She married Ermil Norman on February 17, 1940 and he survives. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ and a past member of the Home Demonstration Club.
Survivors include her husband Ermil of Bedford; two sons: Robert L. Norman of Texas and Walter Leroy Norman of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren: Tracy Brown and Jennifer Warren both of Fort Wayne, Scott, Darrin and Nicole Norman all of Texas; four great grandchildren; one sister, Lorene Fox and her husband Don.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Olin White, Ray White and Loyd White.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m.on Thursday, September 15, 2011 in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Darryl Simon adn Jack Byers officiating. Burial will follow in the Gilgal Cemetery in Heltonville. Friends and family may call from 3 p.m.until 7 p.m.on Wednesday, September 14th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Dana L. Pruett – Oolitic

Dana L. Pruett, 54, of Oolitic died at 1 a.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2001 at her residence.
Born June 1, 1957 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Marvin L. and Rilla Jo (Baker) Allen. She married Philip Pruett and he survives. She was a member of the Oolitic United Methodist Church.
Surviving with her husband Philip are two sons; Michael Pruett and wife Hillary of Richmond, Craig Pruett and his wife Allison, of Bedford; grandchildren: Seth, Shelby, Zach, Makayla, Bristol, Adalia and Sasha Pruett; one sister, Debbie Jo Ikerd and husband Steve of Bedford; one brother, Darren Allen and his wife Theresa of Springville; and her mother-in-law, Nita Pruett of Oolitic.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 16, 2011 at Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Dan Voorhies officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2001 at Day & Carter Mortuary.

Phyllis Ann Gilbert – Oolitic

Phyllis Ann Gilbert, 76, of Oolitic, Indiana passed away September 13, 2001 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. She was born July 3, 1935 in Beford, Indiana to Clyde and Mabel (Davis) Pace.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Voy Gilbert, of Oolitic; two sons, Mike Gilbert (Sheila) of Oolitic, Brian Gilbert (Sharon) of Oolitic; daughter Teresa Boshears (Joe) of Bedford; grandchildren: Johnny Mike Gilbert (Lora), Jared Gilbert (Melissa), Justin Gilbert, Jeremy Gilbert (Hilary), Jacey Gilbert, Jordan Boshears, Lauren Boshears, Sara Templton (Brice); and great grandchildren Abby, Isaak, Izabel, Carson, Owen, Jerett, Jaden, ALiza, Haden.
She is survived by her brother, Harold “Gene” Pace and his wife Joyce, of Bloomington; and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Larry Eugene Gilbert; brothers, Clyde Pace Jr., George Pace, Charles Pace; and sister Alice Cronin.
She worked for Visteon in Bedford for 15 years.
She is greatly loved and enjoyed her family.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2011 and from 2 p.m. until the service on Friday, September 16th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Services will be at 3 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2011 at the mortuary with Reverend Richard Tallman and pastor Jeff Hudelson officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.

Thelma Jean Strunk – Avoca

Thelma Jean Strunk, 81, of Avoca, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 13, 2011.
Born in December 2, 1929, in Muncie, Indiana, she was the daughter of Otto and Beulah (Wooten) Stogdill. She married Eugene Strunk on October 6, 1947 in Nashville, Indiana and he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker, founding pastor of New Hope Church in Whiteland, Indiana and was a pastor’s wife of the Meadows Community Church. She loved reading her Bible, crafts, painting and sewing.
Surviving are three daughters: Shirley Childers and husband, David, of Lehigh Acres, Florida, Partricia Edwards and husband, Randy of Franklin, Indiana, and Terri King and husband, Greg of Springville; one daughter-in-law Mary Strunk of Whiteland; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; four brothers, Kenneth Stogdill, James Stogdill, Joseph Stogdill and Samuel Stogdill; four sisters Mary long, Luella Stogdill, Sarah Mullis and Betty Reynolds of Greensburg, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; one son, Micheal L. Strunk; one sister, Norma and five brothers: William, warren David and two in infancy.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2011 in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Russell Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven memory Gardens. visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 15 at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
