The following obituaries were received on Monday.


Lyssa Pferrer – Bloomfield
Lyssa Pferrer of Bloomfield, formerly of Bedford passed away on Wednesday, February 2nd at Indiana University Health at the age of 43. Born in 1967 to Robert and Gail Robinson, she had worked as a certified nursing assistant and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was preceded in death by three daughters, Ann Pferrer, Patricia Pferrer and Christy Pferrer; two sons, William Pferrer and Joey Pferrer; as well as several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Cremation was chosen and a celebration of life service will be held from 3:00PM until 6:00PM on Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Charles V. Goens – Bedford
Charles V. Goens of Bedford passed away on Saturday, February 5th at Indiana University Health at the age of 62. Born in 1948 in Bedford to Everett and Betty Goen, he had been married to Virginia Beavers since 1971, was employed at Dana Corp. in Mitchell for 14 years, was a veteran of the United States Navy and attended Fort Ritner Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife; two sons, Charlie Goens and Jason Goens; one daughter, Becky Padgett; one sister, Patty Reynolds; three brothers, Stephen Goen, Rick Goen and Joe Goen; as well as several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, February 9th at Ferguson – Lee Funeral Home with military honors accorded by the American Legion Gillen Post 33. Visitation will be from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Tuesday, February 8th and one hour before the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Lela I. Reynolds – Mitchell
Lela I. Reynolds of Mitchell passed away on Sunday, February 6th at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital at the age of 96. Born in 1915 in Mitchell to Fred and Ida Riggs, she had been married to Claude Reynolds since 1944, was employed at Relliance Manufacturing and Cargas’ Candy Kitchen. Lela was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was a graduate of Mitchell High School in the class of 1933. She is survived by several grandchildren and was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one daughter, Janet May Cole. Funeral services will be from 4:00PM until 7:00PM on Tuesday and from 9:30AM until the hour of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
