Marilyn Rose Sullivan – Bedford
Marilyn Rose Sullivan of Bedford passed away on Thursday, January 20th at her residence at the age of 59. Born in 1951 in Bedford to William and Josie Sullivan, she was a clerical worker with the Salvation Army and was of protestant faith. She is survived by two brothers, Joe and Dilly Sullivan; six sisters, Carol Manual, Helen Good, Ruth Ann Cain, Lois Ritter and Rhea Dawn; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Walter Miller; three brothers, Orville Smith, John Sullivan, Tom Sullivan; four stepbrothers, Bill, Richard, Raymond and Glendale Miller; one sister, Shirley Courter and one stepsister, Ester Requa. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, January 24th at Ferguson – Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00PM until 6:00PM on Sunday, January 23rd at the funeral home.
M. Paul Chappell – Huron
M. Paul Chappell of Huron passed away on Sunday, January 23rd at his residence at the age of 73. Born in 1937 in Columbia, Tennessee to Maury Paul and Viola Chappell, he had been married to Judy Flora since 1984. He is survived by his wife, Judy Chappell; children, Sam Wilson, Kimberly Tuddy, Robin Wilson, April Marquart, James Chappell, Lisa Roberts and Marqaretta Galvin; as well as brothers, Albert Chappell and Wayne Chappell. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 7:00PM on Tuesday, January 25th in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday in Huron Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00PM until 7:00PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Gladys Vivian Harper – Bedford
Gladys Vivian Harper of Bedford passed away on Friday, January 21st at Westview Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 93. Born in 1917 in Elkview, West Virginia to Elmer and Lula Melton, she had been married to Ralph Harper since 1936, was a graduate of Elkview High School in the class of 1935 and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Glenn Harper; one daughter, Donna Brumbaugh; two sisters, Velma High and Thelma Huffman; one brother, Ben Melton; as well as several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and 5 sisters and 5 brothers. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, January 25th at Ferguson – Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow in Leoni Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00AM until the hour of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
