James Earl Connerley – Williams
James Earl Connerley of Williams passed away on Monday, November 29th at St. Vincent Hospital at the age of 45. Born in 1964 in Lawrence County to James Connerley and Gail Connerley, he had been married to Susie Gibson since 2000, had been employed at Elliott Stone Company and had also worked at Hancock Construction, Ralph Rogers Group and B&LS Construction. He is survived by his wife; his parents; one son, Joshua Connerley; one daughter, Kaylynn Connerley and her fianc̩ Andrew Smith; as well as several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 3rd at 2:00PM at Ferguson РLee Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
Marvin Perkins of Oolitic
Marvin Perkins of Oolitic passed away on Tuesday, November 30th at his residence at the age of 32. Born in 1978 in Lawrence County to David and Mary Berry, he was a mechanic and transmission rebuilder and Bob’s Transmissions and was a member of the Avoca Baptist Church. He is survived by his parents; three brothers, Joe Gerkin and his wife Shandi, Randall Gerkin and his wife Nicole; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bernard and Helen Gerkin. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 4th in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow in Solsberry Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Friday, December 3rd and from 10:00AM until the hour of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Ruth Imogene Dye – Warren
Ruth Imogene Dye of Warren, formerly of Bedford passed away on Monday, November 29th at Bluffton Regional Medical Center at the age of 89. Born in 1921 in Martin County to Adon and Chleona Wildman, she had been married to Mose Dye since 1939 and attended Warren Wesleyan Church. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Mitchell, LaDonna Tuell, Rebecca Bowden; as well as several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; as well as one brother, Bob Miller. Funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, December 1st in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow in Springville West Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until the hour of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
