Therman Junior Cagle – Bedford
Therman Junior Cagle of Bedford passed away on Saturday, November 20th at I.U. Medical Center at the age of 74. Born in 1936 in Haleysville to Tafton and Trannie Cagle, he had been married to Louella Clark since 1962, attended Tabernacle of Praise Church and served in the United State Marine Corp. He is survived by his wife, Louella Cagle; three sons, Michael Cagle, Terry Cagle and Anthony Cagle; one daughter, LaDonna Cagle; two brothers, Larry Cagle and Garry Cagle; one sister, Verna Rugeroden; as well as several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Nellodean Cagle. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Wednesday, November 24th at Tabernacle of Praise with burial to follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Tuesday, November 23rd at Day & Carter Mortuary.
Elizabeth Henley – Bedford
Elizabeth Henley of Bedford passed away on Sunday, November 21st. Born in 1941 in Manhattan, New York to George and Laura Merritt, she had been married to Joseph Henley for 47 years. She is survived by one daughter, Laura Henley; one son, Matthew Henley and his wife Karen; one daughter, Jane Henley and her husband Ben; as well as several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; half-sisters, Marjorie Ellersieck and Madeline August; as well as one half-brother, Donald Merritt. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Wednesday, November 24th at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church with burial to follow in Fort Lincoln Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Tuesday, November 23rd at Ferguson – Lee Funeral Home.
Arkie Anderson – Bloomington
Arkie Anderson of Bloomington, formerly of Mitchell passed away on Saturday, November 20th at his residence at the age of 76. Born in 1934 in Lawrence County to Millard and Addie Anderson, he had been married to Mitze Okazaki since 1972, was an engineer for Cook, Inc., and had also been employed at General Electric, Otis Elevator and Carpenter Body Works. He is survived by his wife, Mizte Anderson; daughter, Michelle Kaplan and her husband Jeremy; one son, Patrick Moore; as well as one sister, Lavona Donica and her husband Herman. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Vesta Anderson. Funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, November 24th in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mitchell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the hour of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Diana Patricia Smith – Melbourne, Florida
Diana Patricia Smith of Melbourne, Florida, formerly of Bedford passed away on Friday at the Cleveland Clinic at the age of 68. Born in 1942 in Indianapolis to Leo and Viola Smart, she had been married to William Henry Smith since 1982, was a beautician and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the Order of the Moose Lodge. She is survived by her husband; children, Don Short and his wife Teresa, Terry Luttrell and her husband Jon, Becky Johnson and her husband Kenny, Sheila Smith and Chris Russak; as well as stepchildren, Tabitha Pickll and Nanette Ragason and her husband Steve and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Kathy Paff. A memorial service will be held at 7:00PM on Tuesday, November 23rd in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until the hour of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
