Kenneth E. Brinkworth – Mitchell
Kenneth E. Brinkworth of Mitchell passed away Monday morning, November 15th at his residence at the age of 81. Born in 1929 in Beech Grove to William and Inez Brinkworth, he had been married to Mary Ruth Call since 1970, was retired from Carpenter Body Works and was also a farmer. Kenneth was a graduate of Mitchell High School in the class of 1947, was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of the Work of God Church. He is survived by his wife of 40 years; sons, David Brinkworth and his wife Lisa and Clint Brinkworth and his wife Lisha; daughter, Vicki Turpin and her husband Drexal; brothers, Bob Brinkworth and his wife Betty and Fred Brinkworth and his wife Sally; as well as several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Don Brinkworth. Graveside services will be held at 2:30PM on Wednesday, November 17th at Connerley Switch Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
John D. Wagler, Sr. – Loogootee
John D. Wagler, Sr. of Loogootee passed away on November 15th at Daviess Community Hospital at the age of 69. Born in 1941 in Daviess County to Ben and Sara Wagler, he had been married to Karen Ann Davis since 1974 and was a retired driver for Jefferson Trucking. He is survived by his wife; son, John Wagler Jr.; daughter, Dee Ann Bynum; step-son, William Michael Ross; five sisters, Wilma Miller, Corine Miller, Lydia and Art Stoll, Emma Stoll and Jean and Melvin Kemp; one brother, Ben and his wife Leah Wagler; as well as several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Adrian and Albert Wagler; one son, Thomas Wagler and one grandson. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday at the Lee Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Wednesday and from 8:00AM until the hour of service on Thursday.
