Dora Beatrice Knight – Needmore
Dora Beatrice Knight of Needmore passed away on Friday, October 15th at Westview Manor at the age of 84. Born in 1925 in Lawrence County to Sherman and Frowe Jackson, she had been married to James Allen Knight since 1948, was a graduate of Bedford High School in the class of 1944, was a homemaker and had worked as a library aid. She is survived by sons, Sherman Knight and his wife Mary, Mike Knight and his wife Pam, John Knight and his wife Valerie; sisters-in-law, Wilma Jackson and Helen Jackson; siblings, Gary Jackson, Myra Shipman, Gloria Krutchen, Jewell Sweeny and Dean Jackson; as well as several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sister-in-law Tunis Paul Jackson, Wilford and Pat Jackson, Cloyce Jackson and brothers-in-law, Dale Shipman and David Sweeny. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, October 19th at Day & Carter Mortuary. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Monday, October 18th at the funeral home.
