Stanley E. Mize – Beech Grove
Stanley E. Mize of Beech Grove, formerly of Oolitic, passed away on Wednesday, June 23rd at St. Francis Hospital at the age of 98. Born in 1911 in Medora to William and Mary Mize, he had been married to Olivia Taylor since 1954. Stanley was Republican Aviation in World War II, worked for Carl Porter on radio maintenance and broadcasting, worked for General Motors for 29 years in die cast and hydraulics in 1974 and worked for E & M Machines for several years. He was also a member of the Free Methodist Church. He is survived by one daughter, Wanda Baretta and several grandchildren; as well as one sister, Alice Fish. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one son, Robert Mize and one brother Raymond Mize. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 30th at 1:00PM at Ferguson – Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00AM until the hour of service on Wednesday, June 30th at the funeral home.
Stephen Fultz – Bedford
Stephen Fultz of Bedford passed away on Sunday, June 27th at Methodist Hospital at the age of 65. Born in 1944 in Beech Grove to Ralph and Ruth Fultz, he was a parts salesman at Fultz Auto Supply and was a member of the Avoca Baptist Church. Stephen was an avid bowler, was a member of the National Street Rod Association and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by one sister, Kathleen Davis and her husband Robert; one brother, Scott Fultz and his wife Barbara; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 7:00PM on Thursday, July 1st in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary. A private committal will be held at a later date at Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 7:00PM on Thursday, July 1st at Day & Carter Mortuary.
