Izillah Bush – Bedford
Izillah Bush of Bedford, formerly of the Buddha community, passed away Monday morning, May 31st at Westview Nursing Home at the age of 97. Born in 1913 in Tunnelton to Thomas Joshua and Myrtle Faris, she had been married to Milo Bush since 1932. Izillah was a homemaker and had been employed at M. Fine and Sons, as well as Trav-ler Radio Corporation. She was also a graduate of Cambellsburg High School in the class of 1931, was a member of the Tunnelton United Methodist Church and was a founding member of the Pink Ladies at Dunn Memorial Hospital. She is survived by daughters, Joan Lee Mathis and her husband Carrol, Beverly Jane Girdley and her husband Arch; sisters, Virginia Bennett and Barbara Sallee; as well as several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sisters, Ellen Hobson, Rachel Starr, Anna Gabbert, Nona Haley and Katherine Wade; as well as one brother, Ernest Farris. A graveside service will be held at 10:30AM on Saturday, June 5th at Tunnelton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Friday at Chastain Funeral Home.
