Lowell E. Gore of Williams passed away Saturday morning, March 20th at Bell Trace Health and Living Center at the age of 81.
Born in 1928 in Silverville to parents William Ralph and Martha Pauline (Hall) Gore and raised in the home of John and Lela Colgazier, he had been married to Betty J. Spreen since 1948.
Lowell was a farmer, a school bus driver, was the owner and operator of Persimmon Tree Antiques since 1990, was a graduate from Williams High School in the class of 1947 and was a member of the Williams Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife; children, Martha Lynn Nicol, Gary Lowell Gore, Luann Godsey and John William Gore; as well as several grandchildren; one brother, Dean Gore and a sister, Sue Robertson.
was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Carolyn Grissom.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 23rd at 10:00AM in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mitchell Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Monday and from 9:00AM until the hour of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
