Herbert H. Jones of Bedford passed away Monday evening, November 23rd at his residence at the age of 78.
Born in 1931 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to parents Norvin Alexander and Vera May (Cooper) Jones he was a painter.
Herbert is survived by four sons, Raymond Sexton and his wife Donna, Herbert Jones Jr. and his wife Christina, Rubin Jones and his wife Sharon, Tommy Jones and his wife Mary; one daughter, Barbara Mundy and her husband Graydon; 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; two step-sisters as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Alex and Ervin Jones and one great grandson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 27th at 2:00PM from the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the hour of service on Friday, November 27th at Day & Carter Mortuary.
