Maude Nickless, 88, Bedford

Maude Edith Nickless of Bedford and formerly of Mitchell, passed away Friday evening, November 6th at Stonebridge Health Campus at the age of 88.


Born in 1920 in Celina Tennessee to parents Robert Key and Ernestine (Gray) Key, she was a retired assistant manager of Suzanne’s Dress Shop, was a member of the Bedford Seventh Day Adventest Church, Delta Theta Tay and held a nursing home administrators License.
She had been married to Jerome Jackson since 1940, James Osborne since 1975 and W. Paul Nickless in 1996. She is survived by two six-daughters, Barbara Baxter and Koyce Baker, Paula Nickless, Lou callahan, Sue Wagoner and Gayle Warrell; two step-sons, Paul T. Nickless and Timothy Nickless, one sister, Mayme C. Boehning; 18 step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded ind death by her parents; husbands; one brother, Robert Key and a sister, Mildred Thurman.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 11th at 10:00AM from the Elmwood Chapek of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow in Walnut Hills Cemetery in Odon, Indiana. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Tuesday, November 10th at Day & Carter Mortuary.
