Dorothy J. Hirscher of Bedford passed away Sunday, September 10th at her residence at the age of 89.
Born in 1920 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to parents Thomas and Anna (Yurecko) Rubis, she had been married to Wayne Hirscher since 1944 .
Dorothy was co-owner of Hirscher Flower Shop in Bedford, co-owner and manager of the Flower Bowl in Bloomington retiring in 2001.
She was also a member of the First Christian Church. She is survived by her daughter, Cathy A. Thrasher and her husband Michael.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother George Rubis.
A Graveside service will be held on Thursday at 2:00PM at the Green Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is from 11:00AM until 1:45PM on Thursday October 1st at Day & Carter Mortuary.
