Mary Rebecca Giovanoni of Bedford passed away Sunday morning at her residence at the age of 68.
Born in 1941 in Bedford to parents George Giovanoni and Mary Elizabteh (Dusard) Gioivanoni, Mary was an elementary school teacher having taught at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic School from 1963 to 1981.
She was a graduate of Bedford High School in the class of 1959, St. Mary of the Woods in the class of 1962, was a member of St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, former member of Tri Kappa Sorority and was the associate member of the Mother of the Redeemer Retreat Center.
She is survived by her brother, John David Giovanoni and his wife Connie; her best friend and caregiver Vicki Wathen; three nieces, Regina Shepard, Angela Land and her husband Mark, Laura Kohut and her husband Matt; one nephew, John David Giovanoni II and his wife Laura; seven nieces and one great nephew, as well as several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00AM with burial to follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Visitation is Tuesday from 4:00PM until 8:00PM with the rosary to be prayed at 7:30PM.
