Fern Bolton of Bedford passed away Thursday afternoon at the White River Lodge at the age of 94.
Born in 1914 in Martin County to parents Stanley and Lottie Spoonmore, Fern was married to Durwood Bolton until his death in 1966.
She was a homemaker and a member of Donica Church of God. She is survived by one daughter-in-law, Judy Bolton; two grandchildren, Brian Bolten and his wife Pamela, Julie Bolton; two great-grandchildren, Bryce and Brandon Bolton; sister, Kay Wilson; brother, Carl Spoonmore.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Nellie Clements; and one brother, Paul Spoonmore.
Services will be held at 10:00AM on Monday from the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow in Greene Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is Sunday from 2:00PM until 6:00PM at Day & Carter Mortuary.
