Paul W. Wade, 72, of 103 Meadow Lane, Oolitic, died Saturday, July 25, 2009 at his residence at the age of 72.
Born March 31, 1937, in Martin County, he was the son of William and Marjorie (Payton) Wade. Paul married Lee Etta Brinson on September 15, 1956 and she survives. He retired as an equipment operator from the Lawrence County Highway Dept. Paul was a member of the Oolitic Trinity Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lee Etta of Oolitic; two sons, LeRoy Wade and his wife Cindy of Oolitic, Jerry Wade and his wife Kim of Mitchell; one daughter, Pam Melvin and her husband Randy of Judah; six grandchildren, Krista, Jason, Angela, William, Dana and Heather; one brother, Carl Wade and his wife Janice of Bedford; one sister, Barbara Morris and her husband Chester of Bedford. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, William Kenneth Wade; and one nephew, Robert William Wade.
Funeral Information:
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, July 28th , 2009 from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Marty Speer and Charles Brinson officiating. Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, July 27th and from 2:00 pm until service time Tuesday at Day & Carter Mortuary.
