Wilma Evelyn Crawford, 94, Bedford

Wilma Evelyn Crawford of Bedford passed away Friday (July 10th, 2009) morning at Stonebridge Health Campus at the age of 94.


Born in 1915 in Jackson County to parents George and Coral Lyon and step-mother Epsie, Wilma was at the Bedford Public Library from 1964 to 1972 and was of Protestant Faith as well as a Lawrence County 4-H leader for several years.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Stark and Josephine Stuckey; one son, Warren Crawford; six grandchildren’ nine great-grandchildren; and several cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. Services will be held Tuesday (July 14th, 2009) at 10:00 AM from the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow in Pinhook Cemetery.
Visitation is Monday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Day & Carter Mortuary.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to Bryantsville Hunger Relief Project or Habitat for Humanity.
