Shirley Courter of Bedford passed away Friday evening at Bedford Regional Medical Center at the age of 76.
Born in 1933 in Lawrence County to Orval and Josie Smith, Shirley was a homemaker.
She is survived by her step daughter Barbara, brothers Joe and Billy, sisters Mary, Helen, Lois, Rhea, Marilyn, Carol, and Ruth Ann, and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Orval, John and Thomas.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at Ferguson Lee starting at 1pm with burial to follow at Beech Grove Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday from 4-8pm at the funeral home.
