C. Wayne Robertson of Paoli, formerly of Orleans, passed away Wednesday evening at his home at the age of 81.
Born in 1928 in Heltonville to Elza and Amanda Robertson, Wayne was an Army veteran of World War II, and worked at the Lawrence County Farm Bureau Co-Op in Mitchell, Ralston Purina, Holland Dairy and retired as a mechanic from Reynolds, and member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, and Orleans Warren Brock American Legion Post 69.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn, children Danny, Lynn, and Kimberly, 5 grandsons, 3 great grandsons and 5 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son Denny, brothers Everett, Charles, Ray, James, and Eathle, and sisters Darvil, Blanche, Ruby and Avis.
Services will be held tomorrow evening at 5:00pm at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Orleans with private family burial to follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be from 2:00pm until time of service tomorrow at the church.
