Bertha E. Young of Mitchell passed away last night at Mitchell Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 86.
Born in 1922 in Bryantsville to Jack and Dolly Atchison, Bertha was a homemaker and worked at Reliance Manufacturing and Spring Mill Inn and was a member of the Mitchell Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her children Faye, Sharon, Charlie and Barbara, step-children Gary, Cheryl, Connie and Kevin, sister Erma, brother gene, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Charles, Everett and Clovis, sister Loretta, and brothers Leon, Earl and Leland.
Services will be held Monday morning at 10:00am at the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home in Mitchell with burial to follow at Mitchell Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 5:00pm Sunday and again from 9:00am until time of service at Chastain.
