Jim Davis of Mitchell passed away Tuesday morning at his home at the age of 66.
Born in 1942 in Lawrence County to Robert and Stella Davis, Jim was a retiree of Cummins in Columbus, and member of Sons of the American Legion Post 250, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and Spring Mill Fraternal Order of Police.
He is survived by his wife Linda, son James, daughters Dana, Dawn and Hollie, step-daughters Jennifer and Melissa, step-son Matt, brothers Robert, Gary, Stephen and Thomas, sister Linda, and 14 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held Saturday morning at 11:00am at the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home in Mitchell with burial to follow at Mitchell Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00pm tomorrow and again from 10:00am until time of service Saturday at Chastain.
