Wilbur E. Rainey of Williams, known to friends and family as “Bill,” passed away Tuesday night at his home at the age of 75.
Born in 1933 in Martin County to Rufo and Eva Rainey, Bill was a mechanic and heavy equipment operator for Hancock Construction, Army veteran, and member of Old Union Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife Linda, daughter Becky, sons Jack and Brad, and 10 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son Bob, sisters Sue and Mildred, and brother Ralph.
Graveside services will be held Saturday morning at 11:30am at Old Union Cemetery with burial to follow.
Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00pm tomorrow at Day & Carter Mortuary.
