Martha Ellen Knight of Mitchell passed away yesterday morning at her daughter’s home at the age of 78.
Born in 1930 in Chrisman, Illinois to Frank and Zora Batchelor, Martha was a homemaker and caregiver for 40 years.
She is survived by her sons Everett and Philip, daughters Loretta, Lorena, Louella and Lucinda, brothers Edward and Delbert, 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son Ricky, brothers Frank Jr., and Jack, sisters Alice, Helen and Linda, and one grandson.
Cremation has been chosen and no visitation has been scheduled.
