Robert W. Stannard of Bedford passed away at his home at the age of 87.
Born in 1921 in Lawrence County to Dras and Truly Stannard, Robert was a retired truck driver, Army veteran of World War II, and member of Springville Life Tabernacle Church.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte, daughters Ann, Faye, Debbie, Pam and April, son Bobby, step-daughters Leona, Tana and Regina, sister Nina, 21 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Lois, 4 brothers, 4 sisters and 1 great grandson.
Services will be held tomorrow morning at 11:00am at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow at Patton Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be today from 4:00 until 8:00pm at Ferguson-Lee.
