Mabel Iris Neeley of Mitchell, formerly of Bedford, passed away yesterday at Mitchell Manor at the age of 81.
Born in 1927 in Jonesville, Virginia, Mabel was a homemaker and member of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by her daughters Carolyn, Diana, and Kim, sons Ben, Roger and Wendell, brothers John and Claude, 20 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Benjamin, sister Jeanette and one granddaughter.
Services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:00pm at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held tomorrow from 4:00 until 8:00pm at Day & Carter.
