Dixie J. Elkins of Bedford passed away Saturday morning at Kindred Hospital South in Greenwood at the age of 53.
Born in 1955 in Bedford to Frank and Norma Roberts, Dixie was an employee of NSWC Crane.
She is survived by her parents, husband Preston, daughter Alison, brothers Steve, Mike, Don, Junior, Dan and Wayne, 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1:00pm at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00pm today and again from noon until time of service tomorrow at Day & Carter.
