Virginia Louise Kerns Holt of Bedford passed away Thursday morning at Bedford Regional Medical Center at the age of 85.
Born in 1923 in shoals to Homer and Fae Kerns, Virginia was a bookkeeper for Al Friesenhengst and Thomas Sherfick, then worked for several years at Associates Life Insurance Co, and came to Bedford to work at Reuter Insurance Agency, and was a member of the martin County Garden Club and was of the Christian faith.
She is survived by her brother Kermit, sisters Carol and Wilma, and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband James and sister Mary.
Services will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:00pm at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00pm Saturday at Ferguson-Lee.
