Harold Lee Poole of Bedford passed away Monday morning at White River Lodge at the age of 79.
Born in 1929 in Lawrence County to Elmer and Fannie Mae Poole, Harold was a self-employed carpenter, millwright and member of the Order of the Eagles No. 654.
He is survived by his wife Madeline, sons Dan and Frog, daughters Vicki and Zella, step-children Karen and Derek, 15 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 step-great grandson and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Judith, step-son Rodney, brothers James, Budge, and Leslie, and sisters Dorothy and Zella.
Services will be held Thursday morning at the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home in Mtichell with burial to follow at Mitchell Cemetery.
Visitation will be tomorrow from 3:00 until 8:00pm and again from 9:30am until time of service Thursday at Chastain.
