Mike D. Gerkin of Mitchell passed away Thursday at Bloomington hospital at the age of 51.
Born in 1957 in Lawrence County to Bernard and Helen Gerkin, Mike worked at Hall Brothers Trucking.
He is survived by his mother, wife Glenda, daughters Andrea and Amanda, son Jason, brothers Randy, Billy, Jimmy and Dean, sisters Annette, Jean and Tammy, and 3 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father.
Services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1:00pm at the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mitchell Cemetery.
Visitation is today from 5:00 until 8:00pm and again from 11:00am until time of service tomorrow at Chastain.
