Bessie R. Adams of Bedford, passed away Thursday morning at White River Lodge in Bedford at the age of 106.
Born in 1902 in Nashville, Tennessee to Henry and Elizabeth Schell, Bessie was a retired bookkeeper for Nashville Lumber and a member of Mount Pleasant Christian Church.
She is survived by step-children Hester, Bob, Tom and June, 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas, daughter Thelma, four sisters, and three brothers.
Services will be held Tuesday at Mount Pleasant Church beginning at 2:00pm with burial to follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Visitation is Monday from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at Day and Carter.
