Dorothy L. Dodd of Bedford passed away yesterday afternoon at White River Lodge at the age of 100.
Born in 1907 in Lawrence County to Isaac and Florence Hoopingarner, Dorothy worked at the Goodman Jesters Department Store and Lawrence County Agricultural Extension Office and was a member of First Christian Church, M.N.I Club, Extension Club and was a leader of the Palestine 4-H Club.
She is survived by her sons Thomas and Ralph, daughters Eilen, sue and Jennie, 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 20 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas, 4 brothers, 3 sisters and 3 grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday morning at 10:00am at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home in Bedford with burial to follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be tomorrow form 4:00 until 8:00pm at Ferguson-Lee.
