John J. Crouch of Bedford, known to friends and family as “Jack,” passed away Friday evening at Bloomington Hospital at the age of 82.
Born in 1925 in Nashville, Tennessee to Lawrence and Frances Crouch, Jack was a football veteran of Indiana University, Navy veteran of World War II, and worked as either an accountant or auditor for Standard Oil, Indiana State Board of Accounts, and had his own accountancy practice in Mitchell.
He is survived by his wife Helen, children Cathy, Thomas, Barbara, Timothy, Daniel, Marjorie, and Shawn, step children Carla, Pamela and Brenda, sister Patricia, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held today at noon at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with cremation to follow.
