Arnold Woods of Bedford, known to friends and family as “Porky,” passed away Sunday morning at his home at the age of 77.
Born in 1930 in Lawrence County to Basil and Maysel Woods, Porky was a retiree of GM Powertrain as a die setter for 50 years, and member of the UAW Local #440.
He is survived by his wife Donna, sons Arnold Jr., William and Michael, daughter Rosetta, step-son Steve, sister Carolyn, and several grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Inas, Anna, Bill, Nobel and Phyllis.
Services will be held tomorrow morning at 10:00 at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 8:00pm tonight at Day & Carter.
