Wayne F. Potts of Bedford passed away Sunday morning at Bedford Regional Medical Center at the age of 83.
Born in 1924 in Dubois County to James and Rose Potts, Wayne was a retired manager for Farm Bureau Insurance, former city councilman, member of Englewood Baptist Church, former member of the Bedford Lions Club and Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife Ruthie, daughter Sherri, sons Gary and Barry, brother Paul, 8 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1:00pm at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow at Green Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be tonight from 4:00 until 8:00pm at Day & Carter.
