Billy J. McLaughlin of Shoals passed away Sunday night at Bedford Regional Medical Center at the age of 78.
Born in 1929 in Lawrence County to Bill and Maggie McLaughlin, Billy was a block mason.
He is survived by his sons Billy, Thomas and Bobby, daughters Mary and Marsha, brother Raymond, 18 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Margie, brother Kenny, and half-sister Frances.
Graveside services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 at Crawford Cemetery with burial to follow.
Visitation will be tomorrow from 1:00 until 2:30pm at Chastain Funeral Home.
