Edith R. Watson of Bedford passed away Thursday evening at Dunn Memorial Hospital at the age of 92.
Born in 1915 in Lawrence County to Luther and Lena McKnight, Edith was a retiree of NSWC Crane and worked at Reliance Shirt Factory in Bedford and was a member of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her son James, sisters Betty and Jean, 1 granddaughter, 1 step-granddaughter, and 6 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband James, daughter Jane, brothers Homer and Bill, and sisters Helen and Ruth.
Services will be held this morning at 11:00am at Cresthaven Funeral Home in Bedford with burial following at Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
