David Solomon Butler of Williams, known to friends and family as “Davey,” passed away Wednesday night at the age of 46.
Born in 1961 in Bedford to Jack and Elizabeth Butler, Davey was a self-employed carpenter, worker at Black Beauty Coal, and member of Silverville Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Jona, son Lucas, daughter Desirae, sisters Cyndy and Chris, brother Dan, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held this afternoon at 1:00pm at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Silverville.
Visitation is from 11:00am until time of service today at Day & Carter.
