Russell L. McBride of Bedford passed away last night at Garden Villa at the age of 89.
Born in 1918 in Orange County to Arthur and Lois McBride, Russell was a retired farmer, Army veteran of World War II, and member of North Bedford Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife Helen, son Larry, daughters Linda, Marilyn and Melba, brother Harold, sisters Evelyn and Helen, 7 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Lee and Banks.
Services will be held Saturday morning at 11:00am at Cresthaven Funeral Home with entombment to follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be tomorrow night from 4:00 until 8:00pm.
