Evelyn Marie Snowden of Bedford passed away late Friday night at Bedford Regional Medical Center at the age of 80.
Born in 1927 in Bedford to Archie and Dellia Melvin, Evelyn was a homemaker and member of both Salvation Army Church and the Salvation Army Home League.
She is survived by her son Fred, daughter Linda, brother William, 6 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Eugene, daughter Sue, brothers Charlie, Lloyd, Jesse and Andrew, sisters Josie and Katherine and 4 sisters who died in infancy.
Services will be held this afternoon at 2:00pm at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home in Bedford with burial to follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
