Richard Edward Moore of Bedford passed away at his home at the age of 72.
Born in 1935 in Lawrence County to Earl and Dorval Moore, Richard was the owner of Moore’s Roofing and Construction, member of Eagles Lodges in Bloomington and Bedford, a US Army veteran and member of VFW Post 686 in Oolitic.
He is survived by his wife Connie, daughter Tamara, step-children Laura, Lisa and Timothy, brothers Russell, Ralph and Raymond, one grandson and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert, sisters Wanda and Wilma and one nephew.
Services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:00pm at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow at Clover Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg.
Visitation will be tonight from 5:00 until 8:00pm at Day & Carter.
