Zachery D. Gary of Bedford passed away Saturday at the age of 21.
Born in 1985 in New Albany to Dwight Gary and Sharon Huber, Zachery was a member of the US Army 82nd Airborne stationed at Fort Bragg North Carolina, serving 16 months in Operation Iraqi Freedom, was a Bedford North Lawrence alumnus and member of Hillcrest Christian Church.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, brain Huber, sister Tara, brothers Drake and Brax, paternal grandmother Betty, maternal grandparents Bill and Marlene, paternal step-grandparents Ralph and Betty, as well as great grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, his paternal grandfather W.T. Gary, and paternal great grandmother Marie.
Services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:00pm at the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with burial to follow.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00am until 8:00pm and again from 9:00am until time of service Thursday at Day & Carter.
